The island’s scenery is diverse with mountain ranges, savannah, valleys, rivers and waterfalls to keep nature lovers charmed. A visit to the capital,Havana, should not be missed. A favourite haunt of Ernest Hemingway, this city can be explored easily on foot and is brimming with character and perfectly preserved architecture.

Chevvies and Cadillacs cruise the cobbled streets, and music emanates from every corner. A combination of fascinating history, beautiful and varied scenery and a proud and warm people make Cuba a very special place.

Cuba is not renowned for its fine dining however, this is fast changing and there is
certainly no lack of characterful places to eat. At the various Cuban resorts, the best dining is generally at the hotel restaurants. In Havana, however, there are several options, the most famous of which is the Floridita in Old Havana renowned particularly for its daiquiris and seafood. La Bodegita del Medio is a small bar that, like the Floridita, was one of Ernest Hemingway’s favourite haunts and is perfect for post dinner relaxation with a cuban cigar and a Mojito, a delicious concoction of rum, mint, sugar and soda.
