Le Palais Jamai

Description

Built in 1879 as the private residence of the Sultan Moulay Hassan I Jamai, this traditional hotel opened in the 1930’s. Now with an additional wing, this Grande Dame of Fes was refurbished with great style in 2000.

Accommodation

The original building has a traditional Moorish design and has some wonderful suites.The standard rooms are in the new wing with views either on the Medina, the ramparts and countryside, or the gardens.

Le Palais Jamai is a haven of tranquillity yet is located just steps from the city’s bustling Medina; it has Anadalucian gardens, a fitness centre and spa and a heated open-air swimming pool surrounded by a large sun terrace, as well as three restaurants including the noted Al Fassia which serves traditional Moroccan cuisine.
